Lainesh is a creation of mine, clothing designer Sinikka Laine: a collection and a designer atelier. The atelier was opened in March 2009.
I set up this firm in order to offer my services to people that prefer well-fitting clothes to ones fitting just okay. As a designer in fashion industry I created clothes the fit of which left the customers as dissatisfied as it left me. Since I know that the perfect fit can be achieved, I got frustrated. However, using industrial sewing processes that's impossible: the perfect, individual fit can only be achieved by craftmanship.
My education and experience as a professional, first as a clothing designer and later as a vocational teacher in arts and crafts, in particular, have developed my skills as a maker of fitting trousers. Thus trousers are the main article of my firm. Another strenght of mine is knitwear.
